No 198. Oxford Bypass Bridge

This carries the A34 around the northern part of Oxford and is situated in a part of the river where the more rural upstream part of the Thames begins to reach the more heavily populated area around Oxford.

Through the meadows downstream lies Kings Lock where Duke’s cut provides entrance to to the Oxford canal. This provides a very important link to the canal system and access to the midlands network.

It is a very  picturesque and is popular with holiday boaters.
